It is recommended that all fusion bond, are placed about 1/2" away from the scalp to protect new hair growth by not blocking the passage and to protect any existing baby hair. It is best not to apply fusion bonds on the crown area (approximately 4ˇ±diameter) so that the bonds will not be visually detectible. Hold a strand of the client's hair and a strand of Fusion Hair Extension. Be sure to section a clear strand of the client's hair. Lay the client's hair on top ofFusion Hair Extension approximately 1/2" away from the scalp. Then lay the bottom part of heated Fusion Iron underneath the extension (only melting down the bond). African American Client's Hair needs to be closer than 1/2" away from the scalp. Clip with Fusion Iron for approximately 5-8 seconds until the bond is visually melted. Then, press & rotate back & for ththe melted bond (attached to the client's hair) with your finger tip until bonded surface is smooth. The Most Important section in bonding is at the very tip of the bond. Make sure that the tip of the bond is tightly bonded on to client's hair; otherwise water and any hair products can be easily forced into the bond, shortening the lifetime on The Fusion Hair Extension and also deminishing the quality. Bonding is complete!! Hair Dryer - Cool or warm air only. Avoid extremely heated air. Avoid extremely strong air blow on curly textures such as Body Pony Wave, Loose Deep Wave, and Fusion 3000. Do not use on the bonded areas. Use equipments on non- bonded areas on Fusion Hair Extensions. Almost all styling equipments can be used in styling. On some equipment, temperature can go up as high as 400 degrees ¨¬F or more such as Stove Iron. Be sure that you are aware of the equipment temperature before styling. Just like your own hair, the Fusion Hair Extensions can be damaged due to extreme heat. Extreme heat will not only damage the product, but it will damage client's hair as well.
